Our Teacher - Miss CooperSuzannah Cooper

I have worked as a teacher since 2017, in that time teaching in year groups 1, 2, 3 and 4. I began my career at The Batt School in 2017 and later moved to London for a few years before moving back to The Batt this year.

I read Linguistics at Queen Mary University of London and later completed my PGCE at Oxford Brookes University. Instilling a love for learning in our young people is something that I am passionate about and I try my best to practice what I preach, last year completing an intermediate course in Spanish and this year attempting to learn to snowboard, ski and scuba dive! I love to teach, it is a unique and rewarding job and I believe in creating a safe, welcoming environment for children to explore their interests and succeed.

In my spare time, I enjoy swimming, hiking and cooking. I love to travel and enjoy exploring the Alps by campervan! Later this year, I am hoping to hike the Tour Du Mont Blanc trail.

“My time at the Batt was great, we had the best teachers and I learnt lots to become more confident and believe in myself . The residential trip helped me to be independent and was so much fun. I always liked going to pantomime each year too. PE was my favourite subject, we had so many opportunities to play all different kind of sports, I was apart of the school teams and we won many Oxfordshire schools cups! I have lots of memories to treasure from my primary school days.”
