"Pupils feel nurtured and listened to by adults. The spirit of kindness is evident in how pupils and staff treat each other. The school uses the parable of the Good Samaritan to teach pupils how to behave towards others. This means that pupils are accepting of differences and motivated to be active and positive citizens in their local community. The school is determined for all pupils, including pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), to succeed. Pupils enjoy the school’s ambitious curriculum and learn a wide range of knowledge and skills. They work hard and usually achieve well."

The Batt CE Primary School was last inspected by Ofsted in December 2023 and we were graded a 'Good' school, having been judged 'good' in all areas.

SIAMS

Our Chair of Governors, Jeremy Lasman, would like to share the following:

Following on from the positive and constructive Ofsted Inspection last year, the Batt school underwent a SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) Inspection earlier this month.  The focus of this inspection is to determine whether the school is living up to its foundation as a Church schooI. The report highlights the excellent ethos in the whole of the school community, which, in turn brings the school vision ‘Love everyone, love the adventure of learning‘ to life.  The report provides strong confirmation that the Batt is living up to its foundation as a church school.

The outcome of both inspections will enable the school to build on its historic strengths to deliver the best possible educational experience for our children.
